Transmission Modifications

Isotropic Super Finishing, also known as REM Finishing, removes surface imperfections and leaves an ultra-smooth and mirror-like finish to the components.

Reduces friction, improves durability, provides smoother shifting and increased horsepower retention.

Ceramic Bearing Packages

Ceramic bearings offer 40% less friction and 60% less rotating
weight vs steel bearings. Less friction and less weight = more horsepower.

They also boast a longer lifespan and higher corrosion resistance.

Metal Fabrication

Specializing in custom body work, bumpers, and bars for IMCA Mod Lites.

Metal Art

Smaller projects include custom trophies & metal art made from used car and motorcycle parts.

Performance Metal Finishing

Utilizing sandblasting, vapor honing, ultrasonic cleaning, and/or isotropic superfinishing (ISF), TRE can enhance the performance and longevity of racing engine components by reducing friction, improving surface smoothness, and preventing premature wear, helping you reach peak efficiency on the track

Sandblasting

A surface cleaning and preparation process that uses high-pressure air to propel premium Garnet media, effectively removing rust, paint, and contaminants to ensure a clean, uniform surface that improves coating adhesion and overall component performance.

Vapor Honing:

A specialized liquid media blasting process utilizing ultra-fine glass bead media mixed with water and air pressure.

This creates an ultra fine, bright finish. Every one of TRE's engine builds and restoration projects receive this treatment.

Ultrasonic Cleaning

Parts are placed in an industrial ultrasonic cleaning machine which utilizes aircraft grade cleaners and deionized water.

High frequency sound waves generate microscopic bubbles/cavitations which scrub away contaminants, leaving a clean, finished surface.

Isotropic Super Finishing

Isotropic Super Finishing, or REM Finishing, is a chemically-accelerated tumbling process that removes surface imperfections.

Surface stress and friction are reduced, increasing horsepower, and reducing engine oil break down, resulting in lower engine temps and less clutch fade.

Frictional Coatings

Frictional coatings are advanced surface treatments that can increase the performance and durability of your engine. Applied to engine components to reduce friction, wear, and heat buildup during high-performance operation, these coatings create an ultra-slick, durable barrier that enhances efficiency, extends part life, and allows engines to run smoother under extreme racing conditions.

DLC Coating
CT-2 Coating
CT-3 Coating

DLC Coating:

An ultra slick, yet extremely durable coating often utilized on wrist pins to reduce the friction between the wrist pin and connecting rod bore.

This reduces premature wear/galling and extends the life of the connecting rod and wrist pin significantly.

CT-2 Coating

CT-3 is a dry film lubricant coating that is applied to the piston skirt to help reduce scuffing, friction and adhesive wear.

It also provides intermittent dry lubrication and is not affected by dust or dirt.

CT-3 Coating

CT-2 is a ceramic thermal barrier coating that gets applied to the top of the piston.

Protective to above 2000°F and resists the effects of detonation.
