Sand Blasting VS Vapor Honing

This is a set of Harley Evo cases. Of course the black factory paint is how it arrived to me. The chalky gray is after sand blasting with Garnet media and the nice shiny silver is after vapor honing.


The other 4 pictures are of an old Stromberg carburetor that I finished. This was was only disassembled and each piece vapor honed. Much trickier with cast iron as vapor honing is essentially water blasting with ultra fine glass bead and cast iron rusts extremely quick.
